Who is the cheapest car insurance provider for a 17 year old girl?

By the time I get a car and car insurance, I’ll be 17. I’m not sure if that will lower my quote any, but Progressive is said to be one of the cheapest and on their site it put me at over $200 (more than I can and am willing to pay, considering I know one of my friends’ [who is 16] car insurance is like $160 or something). Who are some providers that are credible and priced reasonably?

Hi not many people give cheaper car insurance for young drivers.
I have recently been looking for myself here in scotland. The best thing you could do is have a look at price comparison sites and find the cheapest there. Bearimng in mind that your insurance is still going to cost a lot no matter what type of insurance you go for. In the long run it wiould probrebly be better to be fully covered even tho it is a tad more expensive it is far better if you really do have a crash or something.

But always check the terms and conditions because some companies hide an extra charge for silly things like my boyfriends insurance company they hid the cost of £400 just to look at the car and check to see if it was still road worthy.

    good luck in searching

    all the best

I’d suggest getting quotes and compare, or go to Safe Auto’s website.

It’s hard to get insurance for cheap at your age. You’d be best to put your mom/dad on your policy as a main driver and list you as a secondary driver to keep your rates low. Plus, I know a lot of companies won’t even sell a policy to a minor because it’s a legally binding contract.

Are you going to be on your parent’s policy? That is probably the only way you will get a rate under $200. What kind of car will you be driving?

Progressive and Geico are usually the cheapest insurance companies for teen drivers. Just keep getting a few quotes that way you know you are getting the lowest possible rate.

    Good Luck!

I use progressive. There are sites that compare multiple insurers. Try the site below and they will have some helpful rates I’m sure… Good Luck!
