Since you don’t tell us your age or location, it’s impossible to guess what your premium might be. If you can get insurance on your parents’ policy, do that, since you’ll get a multi-car discount, usually 10-15 percent, and you have some clout with their existing coverage. Otherwise, call several agents or companies and get quotes, but be prepared for some tough news..

For car insurance the quick way to get a very good quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you choose similar options with the same deductibles, car type, zip code, etc so that all things are an accurate comparison.
What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at since they have discount insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.
