You do not say where you a4e?
In U.K The main driver must be the policy holder, and unless spouse must be added as Named driver on the policy.
I do not know what 39:s is?
Some companies offer a discount for taking a policy with them. Also some will give discount for On-line policies.
Best bet is to enter details on Confused.Com.
Remember the higher your excess the lower the premiums.
Also
Full Comp is most expensive as this covers your own car less excess if you cause the accident.
3rd Party Fire and theft is cheaper but does not cover your car if you cause the accident but less excess covers your car if stolen or catches Fire.
3rd Party only is minimum required as this covers you for the other car and any of their medical bills etc if you cause the accident.
FC means if the other person causes the accident but does not have any insurance you can still get, less excess, your car sorted.
If you choose lower insurance I would advise taking Legal representation if not included in the basic policy.
Other than that contact an insurance broker.

cheap car insurances
If you own the car and are the main driver, the insurance has to be in your name and be rated for you. Trying to insure it in your dad’s name and under his record won’t work, and could be considered fraud.

But to find a cheap price you should get several quotes, do some legwork till something really cheap will come along.
If you buy an oldish Corolla, they are cheap to insure and fair on gas, get liability only and that’s the cheapest type of cover you may get.
But get several quotes, try them all, they are free so find the cheapest one, it’s out there.
